morning, Friday already, the end of the working week for some of you. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today?
I have nothing in the calendar but if its sunny i might take a chance on lunch in the park.

todays forecast for the capital is a heady 26c with partly sunny skies. Its Getting a tad warmer than the last few days.

took another covid test yesterday and it was positive, so will do one on saturday and pray that it's negative.

Morning, I hope, as you do, that you get rid of that Covid soon, it must be a bit of a nuisance. It will be a typical end of the month Friday for me as my sister will bring some groceries and my niece will do a thorough cleaning of the apartment. After everything is done, we'll sit on the balcony and have a few beers. The weather is forecast to be sunny and 34.

i have a few chores to do, like the washing but that only takes an hour, and once done, can be put away in the airing cupboard. That's about it, so if it is sunny will head for the park, to get some fresh air for one thing.

It's a long-weekend here and a lot of people will be hitting the highways to visit their cottages in "Lake Country" up North. I guess it's the same as people in the UK heading for the sea-side on holidays.

pretty much the same, my brother, SIL and their daughter and her children will be heading out of Sussex, to go to a caravan park near a place called Cleethorps some distance away. They are off for 10 days i think and will no doubt have a good time away.

What is an airing-cupboard?

place where you store washed clothes, to dry, and air them off once dry.

mine dry quite quickly as the airing cupboard has a massive water tank and all the hot water pipes, which create a drying environment. i leave them in there to air, and once done, can be put in the main wardrobe/room.

Ah, OK, so these cupboards are heated...Why not just use a dryer for your laundry?

no space, i only have a small kitchen, and besides which these tumble dryers consume a lot of electricity. If i had loads of space i might have bought one, but i don't.

I have a laundry-closet in the apartment especially wired for a stackable washer and drier, and we actually used it as such many years ago. Then we realized that it was cheaper to use the coin-operated machines in the laundry room downstairs in the building. Now I just use it as a store room...Anyway, I think we've got enough mileage out of "laundry":)

i have just about managed to buy to swing bin for the kitchen and even that will be in the way, i can only fit in three appliances, the cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer.

if i had a big place, i would have all the gadgets, including a dish washer.
