morning all, another sunday rolls around and it's almost the start of another week - i hope you are ok and that your day is a good one. I have an online shop to sort later and then meeting two friends for coffee. Nothing else in the calendar but will see what the weather does.

had a mooch around Covent Garden yesterday and it's beginning to come back to life, lots of people, tourists presumably who were making the most of sitting outside as it wasn't too bad weather wise.
Lets hope we get a bit more sun, warmth before autumn really rolls around or winter kicks in.

Not much warmth down here for at least another week.
We were spoilt last week with a preview of summer.

Not much happening in this little town with the Covid restrictions, not allowed to leave our LGA.

no i suppose not, which must be very frustrating... i know that last year was something of a nightmare here, you must all be waiting for your jabs... so you can get on with life.

Yes, that will be a blessing.
No clothing shops here, not allowed to travel.
Most of my socks are ready for the bin, should've paid more attention to mum when she tried to teach me how to darn 55 years ago

perhaps in time things will get better, its been so long, we are out of lockdown and now there is news that school age kids might get the vaccine. But that has opposition from some of those in power, Boris is for it, but not sure whether it will get past some parents as well.

i can't darn to save my life, just about sew on buttons and the occasional hem, Mr Em was good at that sort of thing, so i used to leave it to him to sort out.

It surely will.
Children are being encouraged to get vaccinated here.

I'm wondering if the common cold/flu cases will decrease now that most people are social distancing, masking , using sanitisers etc.

no idea if that will happen 1ozzy, they are gearing up here with the flu jab available and a winter surge in flu cases.

i heard the words on the news the NHS is looking to a Perfect storm in regards to flu, covid and the people who haven't been vaccinated, of which many are based in London.

there are lots of people here who won't even consider getting the vaccine, anti vaxxers who seem to have a death wish, many based here in the capital. We are having a fair old time with one demo after another, Extinction Rebellion, anti vaxxers and any one in between, here in the capital.
