Well done Emmie .
Well done.
That money has probably come out of the drivers own pocket.....I hope you are satisfied.

and try getting another cab from them ...no chance.
There's plenty of cabbie cos in London, APG.....honesty pays in the long run too.
Can you be a bit more negative APG?
I'd not want to pay for waiting time...if there was no waiting. Would you?
Sorry but I just think its not on to demand a couple of pounds refund cos a cabbie was a bit late. Especially when that cabbie probably needs the money. The original fare seemed quite reasonable to me, especially if she is in London.
I'll happily tip cabbies, but paying for something that didn't happen isn't on.
From the original post he arrived a bit late -took her somewhere waited for her and drove her back. 30 minute round trip for £14.50? She said he waited 3 minutes for her, he said it was 7 minutes -and they only charged £3.50 for waiting...come on.....
I don't know why anyone takes any notice of APG - she's best ignored. She'll get herself banned before long like she usually does.

I'm not on FB and haven't been in years.

Get some help, dear.
APG, he didn't drive her back. It was a one way trip. She got the bus back - and he said he waited for her for 7 minutes outside her home - which is what she was charged for. I've seen no mention of 3 minutes.
I don't understand the cab driver charging Emmie for waiting for her to get into the cab from her house. I don't live in the UK, but over here you don't become a fare until you enter the cab which is when the driver starts the meter running. They will only charge waiting-time if you make one or more stops during your trip and ask them to wait.
I've never heard of being charged waiting time before the journey starts either, Sanmac. Initially I assumed the cab waited for Emmie whilst she attended her appointment and then took her back home - but I was mistaken. It was a one way trip.

APG you are wrong, it was a one way trip to a doctor appointment where i had to be on time, the original quote was £14.55 which i accepted, i wasn't late, he was however. For a 15 minute journey i accepted the initial fare, but not being charged for something that wasn't my fault. I have used them before plenty of times, and
quite honestly i would use them again. I don't expect them to bar me from their books. The company apologised and refunded the extra money.
Question Author
its a passenger and courier company, not a black cab, as i don't use them .
Emmie, I wouldn't bother explaining yourself to her - she'll still make it up as she goes along.

Apparently I've stalked her on FB even though I'm not on FB and wouldn't know her true identity if I fell over her.

She skulked off yesterday with her tail between her legs but not before spouting yet more malevolent lies.

Honestly you're far too nice to argue with the likes of her.
Question Author
morning Lcg, not arguing, more explaining what happened.
Question Author
sorry you get the flak from her, its not nice is it.
She'll still twist it, Emmie.

Apparently I haven't had a kitchen since 2019. It was only ripped out last Thursday... ;-)
