How do you say it - I always thought it was by oppic but I just heard it pronounced bio pick. Which is correct?

It's one of those annoying abbreviations that somebody thought was a good idea. If it's a short form of "biographical picture",,,then it's "bio-pic"

That doesn't always work though, apg... it's not that standard always that words are pronounced how they look or logically. I had to be careful with the link too, that it was English and not American accent.

Out of interest, if lankeela doesn't mind? New grandson in called Isaiah. And my daughter and I were discussing pronunciation before he was born. There seems to be a difference between American and English.

BI -Opic ('O' as in ocean)
BI-Opic ('O' as in Orange)
BIO -pic (pick)

Barsel -the point is that Biopic is shortened Noun, meaning a Biographical Picture.

Bionic is an Adjective in its own right.

Pixie -it would depend what part of the world you came from and your accent .Some would say Bi-Yannick, Bi-agrify, Bi-Yallergy.
