This is how sad its become- someone added me to our local coronavirus support group. And i posted that I hadnt panic bought a single thing but if anyone was desperate i had a spare antibacterial hand wash. A woman has just messaged me offering £10 for it. It cost £1!! Her husband has had a kidney transplant and she cant buy any anywhere - shes been looking all day. Am quite upset tbh. How has it come to this already? I’ve a.so just walked across the rod to my local Lidl and the shelves and freezers are completely empty. There is literally no food :(

Hand wash is like hens teeth. My woman can only use certain types/brands as experience shows many result in cracked hands. Been to quite a few supermarkets today, none to be had. Have to rely on what she's already got and whatever bar soap she has.
It is sad Smow, I already had one small sanitiser in my handbag and as I rarely leave home I haven't even attempted to buy more.
Try asking someone to have a look out back. Most places are reserving stuff not only for staff (they have to sell it if people ask for it) but also for those desperate enough to ask.

My local tesco has hand soap early morning then by evening it’s gone. But they still have some out back...
Smow there is food and when something is put in place to stop people buying bulk, there’s enough to go round
Have you given it to her Smow?
Supermarkets are rationing things now, which they should have done a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, hand washes were available in my local Tesco for 50p yesterday; one per customer.
She should ask Boots pharmacy to order a bottle of Hibiscrub for her...it's the stuff surgeons use before operations...nothing better for super-clean hands.
to be honest smow that's a big theatrical. You do not need anti-bacterial hand wash -soap and water is just as good if not better and if he's just had a transplant he'll be at home. . I don't know where you live but ' no food left at all'? Come on...………...
I've managed get online and alter my Waitrose order for this Friday. Despite them knowing I'm isolated on doc's orders I can't get UHT milk. I HATE tea without milk. Grrrh.
My family apparently don't need loo rolls, I have two packs spare.
Smow lives in Croydon Aunt Polly.
OH has just come back from a full shop at Tesco -everything bought on the list including loo roll -a four pack we don't really need but will go into storage 'just in case'
@ 20:20 Yes really, no food left at all.

Ladybirder yes I’ve just given it to her , no money exchanged x
20.25 don't believe it - seriously.
I'm not sure rationing is working. The shelves are still empty every time I go in. Some people must be making numerous visits to a number of shops several times, buying up to the limit each time.

I have literally just crossed the road to my local Lidl and all the freezers and shelves and freezers are literally empty!!

I don’t know how to post pic on here and tbh don’t know why I’m trying to justify myself as I’ve been on here for years lol. But honestly there is no food in my local Lidl, apart from a few tins.
