I don't bother with tradition Minty - as long as I get the house pot-walloped - that'll do me LOL

Which reminds me I have to make a start - tried earlier on in the kitchen but had to deal with freezer - to make room for more food.

need a bigger freezer here too Conne !! :-) x
Well, it's hissing rain here, that horrible fine stuff ;(
Well it is lovely here in Béal Feirste - but a little too cold for me so have heating on.
Doesn't seem to have stopped raining here for ages. The grass will be up to my waist, shortly.
Used to do more of that sort of thing, definitely swap my clothes though, and at least wash the curtains
I swapped my clothes round, a couple of weeks ago, but had to swap them back round again.
I don't have curtains, just blinds.
i think you must be, can't imagine taking my full length wall end to end curtains, they weigh a ton.
as to summer, if only, its been raining all day, got wet this morning just going to local shop.
I don’t bother with all that swapping of curtains quite old fashioned imo plus my house is too large to have different seasons of curtains.
The weather here is fantastic we have walked the dogs , done several home checks and put the washing out whilst hubby was cutting the grass in the large garden
Beautiful day here ,too, after a rainy one yesterday.
Have cut lawns and done washing. Going in for operation on friday and won't be able to do that for weeks afterwards.
No, do not have change of curtains. Let's hope your weather improves now you are all summery. minty.

good luck with the op Gill xx
Minty, what are you going to do with the winter curtains, wash them or take them to the dry cleaners?
Question Author
I'd get fed up looking at the same curtains all year round.. and after the winter months the dark browns are too dark... once the cream colours are up everything looks brighter..and off the winter ones go to the dry cleaners... 90 inch drop all round so quite heavy emmie but worth the effort I think...
Question Author
crossed post Tilly.. dry clean ...
Been drizzle rain all week here in leics .had heating on last night and this morning .. Garden looks like a wilderness too can't get grass cut yet and I could paddle out the back garden .
Question Author
got lawns cut last weekend ..first cut Wendi...
I am often intrigued by summer and winter soft furnishings, it’s not something I have ever bothered with. I am the same with my wardrobe.

Never really understood the point of either activity.
Thanks Minty. Asking only because last year I took a chance and washed a pair of summer curtains and the curtain shrank but the lining didn't. Ruined them, I did.
Question Author
EEK Tilly ! all lined and some Thermal lining so would never risk washing for that very reason !
