Had a call from "Shirley" earlier. Automated voice. Telling me our internet connection will be disconnected in 24-48 hours due to our connection being compromised by foreign systems (or something, can't remember exact words)
She also said our router will be disabled and we will have to buy a new one.
I hung up.
I'm hoping this is a scam,
What do you think folks?
Glad for any input.

Why not ring Talk Talk (I know it's a hassle) and ask them?
I pressed '1' out of interest when I got this call.....spoke to a giggling Indian woman who started with the "Are you sitting in front of your computer?" routine.

Told her she should be ashamed of being a scammer and put the 'phone down on her....

I believe gness had them diagnosing her combi-microwave for some time ...
Definitely a scam. I am with TalkTalk and they provide routers for nothing so if yours is faulty they would give you a free replacement.

I am reluctant to phone them, I have wasted hours and hours on the phone to them in the last few weeks.
For some reason my email address could not get mail. They have been trying to fix it since December 6th.
Each time I have been on the phone for over an hour about five times while they fiddle about, the new say they will have to upgrade my complaint and come back to me in 72 hours. I have great difficulty understanding them due to very strong accents.
I have had to create a new email address with someone other than talktalk. This has caused me no end of problems due to lots of contacts having my old email.

I chickened out of pressing 1 and just hung up today.
Can you not import emails to your new address from your old one?

When I go on old email if I click on an old message it just says cannot get mail.
I just don't know what to do.
There are a lot of companies that have my old email and I have no way of changing it.
