I have occasionally thought that some AB members are more concerned about dogs than about children. Questions about mistreatment of dogs / animals tend to get a more aggressive response than those about cruelty to Children.

10C, if you'd said something calm about not liking dogs because of what happened to you when you were a child, then I think most folk would have been sympathetic.

'Whack' in this instance means out of sync with normality, it's a common colloquial usage of the word, I assumed you'd know, but I think actually you do, I think this is one big troll escapade to be honest on your part. I think you'll find most dog lovers are also people who are caring in most other ways, so accusing us of not caring about child abuse, issues with vulnerable people etc is really pretty tacky and inaccurate, and pretty desperate too.
