Do you have a cobblers in your village/town/vicinity?

Ours, in the wee toon has diversified so much over the years that it was only week I'd noticed they had removed the little automaton(?) cobbler from the front window.

guess it's just another sign of this throw-away society Emmie.
Yes we do, and a Fishmonger, several independent Butchers and Greengrocers and a nutty little hardware store ( think 'Open all hours') which still has prices in 'old money' on some of their stock they've had it that long it's so old and quirky. I love it.

(gawd, I sound like Teal'c!)
I guess we must be lucky as we have at least three in Swansea, including a Timpsons, although my nieces and nephews have no familiarity with repairing anything, unless its a Mobile phone.
the last "fork 'andles" shop here closed and is now a dentist !!
Yes we have a cobblers. He also does key cutting. We use him regularly.

glad to know some folk still have them.

Cobbling must be a dying skill surely, great shame if it is.

I reckon the wee automaton must be glad to see the back of that nail he's been hammering in for decades and can give his wee shoulder a well deserved rest!
We have a couple, one is called "Cobblers To You."
