Can anyone recommend a credit card insurer, who insure for loss, theft etc.

I would speak with your card provider. Normally you are only liable for the first �50 should it be used fraudently and you have reported it.

I'm only liable for the first �50 on both my cards. I had one card cloned and they didn't even charge me the �50 because it was obvious I hadn't used it. I'm not convinced it would be worth insuring credit cards.
