I'm doing my bit for beach cleaning this morning. We meet at The Palace Pier (it'll always be that to me) and collect all the krap and debris. 4 tons were collected last Monday morning alone...and that was a very quiet day. Approx 14 tons a day are collected on an average summer's day and approx. 25 tons at Bank holidays. Can you believe those staggering figures?
I hate grockles but a lot of the rubbish is left by local chavs too. I used to help with beach cleaning some time ago so decided to start it again. As I say, Squalor City. If you come to Brighton or any other seaside town, PLEASE, have some respect and clear up after yourselves.
Rant over.
Morning Elina xx
Nope ! Not any more. Used to be a great place but now it's just another sink hole town and more building going on at the already hideous marina. In winter, it all looks much better.
As for one redeeming feature?... oh yes, the road out. I've lived here for 30 years and hate to see what has been allowed to happen by locals, various councils. The last (GREEN) lot were the worst. Green, they were NOT!
Anyway, how are you Elina ? Well I hope?
No, just the strawbs for me thanks Boaty. No cream for me thanks. Me no likey cream very much. Well, not unless it's lovely clotted cream.
BTW, as per your suggestion yesterday, I'm going to get jackets today and have that later. Yumsy.
I used to use Chesswood too. I went to their shop once. Wonder if it's still there.? Chesswood have changed their recipe though, at least it seems like that to me. More cream than mushrooms, bit more like a mushroom sauce.
I'm fine thanks. Enjoyed a quiet day yesterday. I went to see some friends on the canal, and enjoyed their company. Apart from that I didn't do much at all! Loved it for once! :o}
Bye Lady J and Boaty
Mr Milko has just been, done his business and has now gone.
I'm off into the shower now and get rid to don my protective gloves and pick up Krap on these shores. Beware of the dirty nappies, used needles and condoms. Glamorous work eh?
If anyone else from Brighton is reading this, PLEASE come along to the Palace Pier to meet us and help out.
