I was out today amongst other duties, looking for some 75% cocoa choc. Looked in at Aldi and saw a 200gm bar of 'Dairyfine milk choc for89p.
On further inspection I found a 100gm bar of Dairyfine choc for 30p
3x100gms@30p=90p
1x200gms@89p=89p
Same for dark. This is a bargain.
End of story, got the choc to make a drizzled spider web effect on 28 individual Greed Puddings. This involves soft toffee, strawberries macerated with Cointrea, whipped cream with a hint of oranges. Topped with a brandied choc spider web. The recipe is available from my soon to be printed "Secrets from the Eagke and Child"

sounds delicious.
I'll buy it.
I used the Aldi chocolate for salted caramel and dark chocolate tarts. I made some with Lindt 70% dark chocolate to compare them and there was absolutely no difference. It's great chocolate to use.
