Why do men want to cook when they get in late at night from the pub, when they are half cut? Has to involve a frying pan and lots of oil, oh and they never cook at any other time. And then they leave it to congeal overnight, ready for us to wash up in the morning......... : )

So there is an upside to my Husband not knowing where the kitchen is!?!

Lol oh yes! And guess what he bloomin cooked? the steak that I had bought ready for tonights dinner!!
Mine doesn't go to the pub or come home half-cut. However, he loves cooking, and when he does cook he usually leaves the kitchen looking like a bomb's hit it - so I know what you mean. ;o)
What's wrong with a kebab at that time of night ??

God know why he didnt grab a takeaway if he was hungry! Silly s*d lol
Or chips and curry sauce. :)
Why didn.t you have him something ready ?
Question Author
He had already had dinner lol. And then decided to cook at 1am!
No doubt this thread will be flooded with cases of feminine jealousy of the generally acknowledged superior masculine culinary skills.

And from the complaints about the aftermath, it appears some ladies don't even realise you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.
I know someone who when a student came home from the pub and decided he fancied some chips.

He put the chip pan on and went and sat in from of the fire while it heated up.

He fell asleep and woke up to find a rather scary smell of very, very hot fat.

He jumped out of his chair to discover that his rubber soled shoes had been very close to the fire and were leaving rubbery foot prints on the carpet as he ran to the kitchen to turn the chip pan off.

I think he regretted not picking up a kebab on the way home!
Chips and curry sauce.

That is SO wrong. SO, SO wrong.
Sometimes its just the urge, women feel the urge to buy unnecessary numbers of pairs of shoes....we feel the urge to cook greasy food at ungodly hours.....

Eccles, lol your friend was very lucky!
i only made cheese and pot pie yesterday, when i finished i think i used every pan, plate and utensil i own, and the cat
It doubles as a poultice for particularly stubborn boils. :)
Question Author
mcfluff - you used the cat?? : )
Handy when you're cooking from scratch.
lol, yes she got in the way so i used her to scrub the pots
Mine, cook late at night? Not a hope in hell. Getting up in the night and getting a drink is as much as he can manage. The last time he went to the pub I had to go and pick him up because he was asleep...
I used to be guilty of this until I caused a fire in the kitchen because I'd fallen asleep with the grill on. Strange thing was though when I got up the next day the only thing I could find that I'd put under the grill was the dogs leather harness! It was shortly after that I stopped going to the pub.
