You can come and visit the Cornish AB chapter JJ, Lady J, pdust, myself to name but three....
And a constant diet of pasties and repeats of Wycliffe on the television. That can't be good for either body or soul.
Pasties OK, Wycliffe a step too far!
It's worth the trek just to have lunch at Fifteen at Watergate Bay. The view is stunning and I don't just mean the surfers stripping off.

Hi, DT x

The featured venues are ...

Marver House (Mawgan Porth)

Estuary House (Padstow)

Treverra Farm Cottage (Rock) ("Rock"? Is that the name of a place??)

The Village (Watergate Bay)

The Beach House (Mousehole) (great name ... "Mousehole" ... love it)

The Limit (Holywell Bay)

Compass House (St Ives)

Little Ship (Coverack)

Farthings (Readymoney Cove) (another great name!)

We also have a "chapter" of three, I think ... ladybirder, yogi-bear, me.
The problem is, whilst passing through Devon you will realise that you dont need to travel any further for a dream destination.
The Cornish are a bit weird, best leave them to it. :-)

Is Fifteen the Jamie place?

We have a Jamie's Italian.

It's "okay", but not outstanding.

But it does have a spectacular view. It looks out on to the entrance of the NCP.
jj, Rock is just the other side of the bay to Padstow ( Camel estuary ).
Question Author
"Camel" estuary?

You just made that up, tony.
JJ, isn't there a Camelford where the water supplies were poisoned by an additive to the drinking water?
River Camel, unless I hae miss spelt it.
Question Author
Dead camel in the water, sandy ??
Fifteen is far superior to the Jamie's Italian chain, which in my experience is very hit and miss.
Had breakfast at Fifteen (couldn't get booking for other times, even early June).
Well worth the visit.
Ditto Rock Inn at Rock, if in the Padstow area.
I doubt if a dozen dead camels in the water could have done as much long term damage as this might.

nasty!
Yes, that is the same Camelford, Aluminium Oxide in the water I think.

I think it was the poisoning that makes them talk a bit funny in Cornwall.
Some of those places are really 'Yah' (our daughter's quaint description of the types seen in 'Made in Chelsea') places. If you want to be surrounded by the worst of those young people who would be whooping it up somewhere in Greece, but with a lot more money, those are just the places to be. It's not as far as San Tropez, but just about as inaccessible. Saint Tropez isn't in the list, which might gratify the locals there somewhat.

Found the Cornish strangely unwelcoming to anyone, not just louts, even though they depend on tourism.
Question Author
"fsssshhhhh" .... BANG ... BANG!!

(fred shoots down the Cornish tourist industry with both barrels, LOL)
Rock is the OK yah place.
