Maybe if they tried that hard against Argentina as they did in their World Cup "Final" yesterday then they wouldn't be going home.
it was a decent effort, they out fought and, for much of the game, out thought England, but in the end it came down to class and Scotland just didn't know how to score!
I think we'll get past France but Ireland looked very very good!
Sorry why are you singling Scotland out as being "brave"? there are 12 other teams going home too what did Scotland do the make them "brave"? or at least any more worthy than the other teams? As above the key phrase here is "going home"!
..I guess because it says "Scotland the Brave" in the anthem!
Quite brains - Scotland had the opportunity to kill off Argentina last week and England on Saturday and they did neither. As a rule in Rugby, class and ability usually prevails, and it did so on Saturday.

They simply weren't good enough.

England were very mediocre on Saturday and still they won - so far from going home with their heads held high, I think they should be going home knowing they have failed.
Scotland in the World Cup is a bit like going to a Michael Barrymore party - you start out full of hope and feeling good, but you end up at the bottom of the pool.
Scotland, I am afraid, are simply not quite good enough, A lack of the ability to score tries continues to bedevil them.
That's a funny joke Duncer, but in fairness to Scotland, as far as rugby is concerned they have reached the last 8 every year up until this time.
especially as Michael Barrymore now lives in NZ - I wonder if he has a black pool.....
wicked duncer, and how true. Come on England, heads up, you can do it.
