Gillie - "Excuse me sir, but is that Davy Crockett' style headgear you're wearing made from fox fur?
Prince Charles - "Yes"
Gillie - "Might I ask why you're wearing it?"
Prince Charles - "I told my mother that I was going shooting in Ecclefechan and she said 'Wear the fox hat'".

??? Am I being stoopid?

'Wear the fox hat'
Think of this in very upper-class accent
Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone, when confronted with 20,000 Mexicans in front of them at the Alamo, San Antonio, in Texas.

"Daniel, I didn't know that we were preparing a concrete slab this morning?"
does take a moment,
DT

I don't get that one.

The real joke is the title, scotman.
Now that is seriously bad - and it isn't Ecclefechan, more like Eckfeckhem.

My sister had a friend who lived there.....quite cute she was, even for being a farmer's girl. She had the title Eff FeckF Fiona, longe before William Hague's wife acquired that name of hers.
Mexicans are the ones that come across the border to do all the menial or sweaty jobs like gardening or construction.....slab as under a house...equiv of the folk from Krakow, Riga, Tallin etc over here that certain ABers so adore.

Sorry, I didn't mean Ecclefechan, I meant Achiltibuie.
