rov....as other posters have said...."innocent until proved guilty"

BUT....your first murder at 60+ years whatever the motive is indeed uncommon.......???
Sqad, what makes you think it`s his first, there are many unsolved disappearances of women. Make you think.....dunnit?
rov - you will have to update your thoughts - sex is still all right in your 80's leave alone at 65. Life is still lived when you are old, as well as when you are young. However, I can see that none of us (including me) would be any good on a jury of his peers as we have already prejudged him and found him guilty.

<<<<Sqad, what makes you think it`s his first<<<<

That was my point ;-)
sqad, `maniacal laugh` hahahahahahahaha,hahahahahahaha
C'mon, Old men get the hots for young women, he may have been harrassing her for ages, perhaps she finally told him to fukc off, then he saw red.

But, he hasn't been charged yet, they're asking for extra time with him.

Perhaps its not him at all!! (I always thought it was her father)

I wonder if he's been spying on her from his flat directly above hers.
Jem.....I always suspected it was Bruce Forsyth and that is why he wasnt mentioned in the New Year´s Honours List.
Sqad, - You may be right there,

For 2 or 3 years now people have thought Bricie should have been honoured. I believe he has to be reccomended by a body before being considered. Brucie is his own worst enemy. Several years ago (aledgedly) Brucie insulted the very tradition of honours lists. (I think someone still remembers)

First of all this is Anserbank, not Statementbank.

More importantly, the landlord has been arrested on suspicion of murders, although it would seem that many of the respondents to this post have already found him guilty.

People watch programes like CSI and immediately become experts in crime detection.
Lighten up leccy, we are all putting our two-pennyworth in thats all.

Who pressed your switch?
Just on the news he has been bailed!
Could he sue some of the newspapers that seemed to have had him tried and convicted before he even got to court?
he hasnt been totally discharged but, if he is, he may have some cases depending on how the specific papers have made accusations - and they usually have a cohort of lawyers going over their proposed print runs.

I also note that the Attorney General has raised issues about the nature/intensity of the media coverage and perhaps this is, in part, why there has been less of it today (apart from the newsworthy factor going down). The AG felt it was getting dangerous as to impacting on fairness of any trial, indeed nullifying any trial.............
I thought I'd heard on the news they had until Monday morning to question him now so interesting they have released him on bail now, though with lawyers potentially involved, who knows the details.

It does remind me of Robert Murat who was questioned over Madeleine McCann's disappearance.

I also find it interesting that her boyfriend apparantly made comments about the media's reaction to the arrest in a statement.

It's very sad, I just hope that, whoever it was, they get justice for her.
maybe the man is innocent maybe it is the boyfriend.
