Muslims who fought for Britain
I only became aware of this when scanning through a post from yesterday:

Why is it that the contribution from Muslim and Commonwealth troops during the last two world wars isn't celebrated?
How comes none of us knows about the "2.5million men and women who came over to do their bit in World War II"?
Is it because it flies in the face of the usual Islamophobic rhetoric spouted by the dailymailers (who want everyone to believe that "yer typical Muslim is a banner-waving extremist")?
Can anyone explain this oddity?

Another typical anti British post from you, I don't know how you dare use the name of a proud English township in your username.
That poster you refer to would only be symbolic, and not to be taken literally as you have done for your own convenience.
Since your interest in WW2 posters, I think these are appropriate in the circumstances.

AOG, it's not anti British to say we weren't alone.
It's an insult to thousands of brave Australian, Kiwis, South Africans, Indians etc to deny them their RIGHTFUL place in our victory.
I'll ask you again how many Australians served in the Italian campaign?
And as for the posters, one I'd question where they were posted, I'm guessing it was for a colonial audience (no conscription in the colonies or Commonwealth), I do however feel that it's a pity that from "together" we got to "rivers of blood" in little over twenty years, I digress....

We need to remember that the Indians fought to defend freedoms that we ourselves denied them at home, this in spite of the fact that Hitler offered the Indians indepence if they joined his cause.

I provide you with authentic WW2 posters showing the Empire/Commonwealth forces pulling together to fight a foreign foe, but you still had to make up a false scenario attached to them.

The Australians were sent back to Australia after the fall of Libya due to the threat of invasion from Japan.
After a lot of wrangling Churchill managed to keep the New Zealanders for Italy, now here's the crux of why I was asking you this.
The Australians were sent home to defend Australia, the Indians stayed to fight the Italian and Kesselring's German forces, yet the Japanese were on the borders of India at Burma.
So why weren't the Indians sent home to defend hearth and home, if that's all they were there for?
