Manchester seems to be the only thing on the radio News this morning.

A town hitherto best known for Lacrosse sticks, thrown into the limelight ...

... by a lazy, philandering football player.

Sorry, B00.

The question was sort of "pro" Manchester really.

1. I thought it was a shame that it takes a twit like Rooney to make Manchester a News item.

2. I claim a kind of association with Manchester (buying wise).

3. They produce a world class sporting product.
BOO..LOL...where too?

vibra......I dont think JJ is the only one.

It's not just me, Vibe.

There is a Rooney thread going on at the mo ("is he a hero?") and the general sentiment is not in Rooney's favour.

But Rooney is from Liverpool. He only plays for ManU....

Does Rooney have ambition?

When he was given the chance to win the World Cup, he looked like he couldn't be bothered. He was more interested in his secret shag.

"not won anything major for a few years"?

You mean apart from 3 Premierships on the trot and the 2008 European cup and a couple of league cups
Is Eccles really a place? I thought Eccles was a bloke who had a mate called Bluebottle who kept falling in the water.
Rooney was given the chance to win the world cup? By himself? Talented man...

So just the league cup LOL at Vibra I don't support them but I obviously know more about them than you :-)

The League Cup is not really "major" though, is it ?
-- answer removed --
The league Cup offers a path into europe in the last 5 years it has been won by Man U Chelsea and Spurs. So they obviously see it as major.and it is classed as such.

If, like us, you got knocked out in the first round ...

... you tend to see the League Cup as a silly, Mickey Mouse tournament.

In fact ... give the number of different people who have sponsored it, it must be Disney's turn soon. Then, it could actually become the Mickey Mouse Cup.
