Ok so a woman can have an abortion and the man although wants to keep it at end of the day really if being honest has no choice in the womans decision. But what if the woman wanted baby and man didnt and had said get an abortion etc but yet again as womans choice she went ahead and had baby,do you think the father should still have to pay for upbringing of child?

And also if a woman doesnt want the baby she can just get rid, but if the man doesnt want the baby he is seen as deserting the mother and his baby and being a lowlife
If you make someone pregnant and the woman doesn't want an abortion then you have financial resposibility in my view.
Absolutely! The child had no choice and irrespective of the child's mother making the choice of going ahead, it takes 2 to tango ergo the father should be paying for it's upbringing. If the father didn't want a child he should cover the one piece of equipment he uses to make one
I'm not sure but can the father not get a court order to stop the mother aborting?
if the man does not want to become a father, for his own safety he should use some sort of protection when they have sex.
yep,
a guy should always cover up and do his utmost to ensure there would be no baby if he doesnt want one.
3 situations

1) Married couple...........yes the father should pay.
2) Steady unmarried relationship (whatever that is).......yes father should pay.
3) One night stand..........no the father should not pay...the tax payer has and will continue, to pick up the bill.
why do you think a one nightstand shouldn't pay for his child?
Question Author
even if a one night stand the father should pay as he should have been safe. Pink not sure, cant be right can it?
why would a woman have an unprotected one night stand?
Surely, a one-night-stand couple should (I emphasise should, cos a good proportion of them are usually when drunk....) use a condom, surely?

I agree with cazz and sqad. If a man is adamant he does not want to father a child, then he should take responsibility by covering his potential-fatherhood manhood....

well it went quiet quickly.. ;)
pink kittens.......one night stand....no commitment on either side.......she could have been on the pill, but wasn´t, he could have been using a condom but didn´t.

So they both had unprotected sex, with no emotional commitment.
She could have the next morning pill, but didn´t, she could have had an abortion but didn´t............she finds herself suddenly " at one " with her foetus.........and he is expected too as well......following a one night stand.

Sorry, in my opinion, she wants the baby, he doesn´t, then he should have no financial commitment........!!
And the prossies sqad?!!!!
sqad is right..

but its down to both parties to use contraception sqad.
I agree with Sqad as well...but...if a male friend of mine complained about the situation described then I'd have little sympathy.
both parties should make sure they are protected before sex, also most women know where they are in their menstrual cycle so at a dangerous time they should be even more careful.
4get.....but they didn´t.

salla...prossies?.... absolutely essential part of society.
