Whereas I agree that anyone visiting a mosque or any other Religious building should respect the particular dress code.

What I don't agree with that these pupils were forced to attend or be marked as a truant, as regards paying for the privilege that takes the biscuit. If there is a charge then the visit should be voluntary.

What I would like to know, was the trip the mind child of the Headmaster or not?

I'd like to add that i hope you are 16, as i would have no idea why someone would want to masquerade as a young girl here, but after current events here.....who really knows?.
I wouldn't go in a mosque so i wouldn't have that problem, and if you read my threads properly, you'll realsie that that situation was at my friends school, i wear a thick, purple polo shirt for school!
Honest answer Molly
Do you love an argument?
Molly being good at exams does not automatically mean you have the ability to see both sides of an argument nor does it give you a balanced view of the world, it just means you are able to understand and regurgitate informatiuon fed to you in a structured and planned way.
i was in the debating club at middle school and i always do best on the 'argue' question the english language paper of exams . . . .
Compared to when I took my exams and probably lots of others on here too then yes they do!
No, but being predicted good grades shows your not thick and simple.
molly I think you are a carefully cultivated identity.
Anyway back to anotheroldgits question, i don't think they should have another religion forced onto them like they did and certainly not marked as truants for not going.
But Mopsy ...

Their definition of "respect our religion" includes "adopt our dress code".

So why does that not work both ways ?

I'm sort of sympathetic to Molly on this one.
meaning what cazz? what can i do to prove i'm a 16 year old?
they must have loved you ..lol
a debate is an exchange of different views Molly, where you listen and then give your opinion...not I am right and you are wrong all the time
Maybe you are only clever with things you are willing to learn, those things you remain ignorant of means you remain ignorant of them.
"thick purple polo shirt" Molly? what happened to the "white bog standard polo shirt" you had to wear?

Sorry but i can't respect a religion in which i could be raped and the man not get in trouble in anyway, so if i can't repsect them and find their rules disgusting, why should i have other of their rules forced upon me.
The white, bog standard ones' are for pe for normal lessons, we wear, purple, red, green or yellow.

I am starting to think on cazz's wavelength...lol
yep JJ I do see from where you are coming although it's highly unlikely you would see a Muslim or orthodox Jew entering a Christian place of worship, so we wouldn't know just what they would do in that role
I have to laugh at this thread, someone has a lot of windows open..
Actually, to be fair, Molly isn't entirely wrong in her assessment of Islam. In fact, in many areas, she's absolutely right.

This from the Koran:

//Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other.

....good women are obedient.

As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them.//

And as for men raping their wives:

//Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will.//
