Being connected to continent of Asia tigers have lots of space to roam and thrive. With mountains and impenetrable jungles it would be hard to count them......I hope they are left alone to thrive; just those that threaten humans are killed.

You're living in cloud cuckoo land mate. Tigers are poached ruthlessly. Mainly for bloody stupid oriental medicines.

As for farmed tigers for medicinal purposes, here's some info - not that I agree with it but am not in a position to legislate foreign policy.

About 3000. Not many if you consider the size of India.
Probably not more than 6000 in the whole world (not counting the ones in captivity which could double the count.
I must admit the tiger was the most awesome animal I've ever seen..........beats the lion hands down.
