Mr Clean.....I think that you are being a little pedantic or dare I say......mischievous?
The 90%/10% was just a "cute " way of saying that in my opinion the Police did indeed have a case to answer albeit the vast majority of the blame should be laid at the feet of the Police.

A few months ago we had one of these dogs and it's idiot owner in our little village. He would take it out for a walk with his mate and openly allow it to attack other dogs and even people. Two children were bitten by it. When reported to the police they didn't do a damn thing. The bloke concerned was a local dealer so I don't know if they were watching him and didn't want to rock the boat incase he clocked on to them.
We haven't seen him for a while now so here's hoping the police got what they needed and put him away again.
But we know he will be back because he has family here. It's just a matter of time.
I just hope he doesn't have another dog with him again. These are the people who need to be stopped from having dogs. ANY dogs. If you have a record for violent crime you should not be allowed to keep these dogs. Lets hope this will lead to the arrests any other breeders and put a stop to this horrible so called sport and stop the deaths of other children. It's just a shame the only ones how really suffer are the children and the dogs.
Both die as a result of these sick people.

Well said tigerlily .I had a neighbour who had one of these bull type dogs .I used to watch him in the park ,hit it on the nose with a stick . No good remonstrating with him about it because you just got a mouthful of foul abuse
.I used to give him a wide berth when I was out with old Shaney .Not long afterwards his partner was rushed to hospital where they managed to attach her hand back onto her wrist after the dog attacked her .No such thing as a bad dog .Just bad irresponsible owners .A dog is what the owner makes it .
The police have to tread a fine line at times and admittedly they could have done more to prevent this awful tragedy .There are such things as dog wardens .Why were they ?
Bring back dog licences and not just seven and sixpence worth as they used to be, a more realistc price depending on the breed and also liabilty insurance like they have on the continent .If people had to pay to keep a dog and insure it against liabilty this would possibly deter people from owning and breeding these type of dogs .
