Small schools without kitchens take the kids to the local pub for lunch. Children eat good balanced meals and are behaved with pub staff supervision.

I wanna go back to school!

Excellent chance to teach them how to get into a fight outside a pub, instead of the school playground.

A good sound backing for later years.

Hopefully it can also teach them that pubs don't just have to be places where people get bladdered and start fights. In Europe, kids get taken to bars and tavernas with their families as a matter of course. I've always taken mine to pubs where I could and they've learnt decent behaviour and decent drinking/social habits as a result.

It's also a great way for a well-run pub to stay in business and reclaim its place as a community resource. Interestingly, our local has hosted a building-less church for around five years now.
That's a nice pub as well. I've had many a dinners there.
