This little speech got a loud round of applause. It's quite astonishing that if you say nothing at all with passion and aplomb, you can trick people into thinking you've said something meaningful and insightful, when in fact, you've said precisely nothing at all. She'll go far. What am I saying? She's already gone far and if her above 'answer' is anything to go by, she got there on cushion of hot air and bullsh*t.
How can a powerful and educated woman such as Baroness Warsi be so blind to the fact that Islam subjugates women? If she lived in an Islamic governed country, she would never be able to voice her opinions, let alone be part of the 'establishment'.
And yet, she still defends a faith that would kill her if she stood up in a Sharia governed land and had the temerity to speak her mind.
The good Baroness makes me very angry indeed. How dare she defend a religion that, if it were in power, would at the very least deny her the right to free speech?
