Well I think the south Yorkshire police were wasting time and money on that, but have you checked out Peter Davies, the new mayor of Doncaster???
He should be PM!

It is the Daily Mail, of course it is a joke.

Why you people buy the rag when it sends your blood boiling, I don't know. Perhaps you enjoy being outraged.

That is a particularly brilliant example.

The police service (not force you will notice) have to deal with the public in all its many facets. This is an example of training. If you work in a shop or a bar part of your training will be serve someone, another member of staff will act the role of a customer. That is all that is happening with this training exercise. The police are putting themselves in the shoes of the community it is serving.

Police use role playing in training all the time. They even pretend to be criminals sometimes, one was tragically shot last year. At the time no one said he was wasting time or should have been out catching real criminals, but then, he wasn't dressed as an ethnic.

Gromit

It is the Daily Mail, of course it is a joke.

How on earth you have the bare faced cheek to once again criticise the Daily Mail yet again.

Have I your permission to copy and paste your criticism of the Daily Mail, so that I myself can use it the next time you use a Daily Mail link which happens to support your own particular agenda?

Latest example is your link regarding the shot police officer, or was this also a Daily Mail joke?

AOG

As DM readers are so blinkered and rarely read anything sensible, then the only way prove a point to them is to prove it with a Daily Mail link. As you can imagine, this is enormously difficult, as the paper is so extremist.
What should we be reading then Gromit? In your opinion.
I assumed that you were clever enough to come up with a better excuse for your hypocrisy, than this Gromit.

As DM readers are so blinkered and rarely read anything sensible, then the only way prove a point to them is to prove it with a Daily Mail link.

I don't mind in the least you having a dig at me for daring to read the Daily Mail, but please don't assume all other posters read the Mail also, and then go on to insult every other poster, apart from yourself of being blinkered.

It was in the Express as well.
I think it is a stupid idea, which serves no purpose for what police are trained for - fighting crime. Won't they get hot wearing their gear, will it be restrictive in chasing criminals, and how can they show their warrant card?
