The Scots already get free eye care and dental check-ups, free access to cancer drugs and free care homes for the elderly.

If you are indeed English, perhaps when you get your yearly increase in your Council Tax bill and then go on and research what the Scot's increase is, you might like to apologise for your unworthy dig at the Daily Mail?

I have a friend who works in the housing association and they have had their budgets cut quite a bit recently so its not all rosy up north!

other areas will have most certainly been cut as well!

geezer i live in scotland but am originally from the north east of england and totally agree with your post!

everyone i work with and all of the in-laws go on about all the free stuff they get and how much better scotland is than england and how they want to break away from the U.k and i really cant wait for the day they become independant and all the taxes shoot up and everything that is free is charged for

Also i take great pleasure in reminding them that it is because of the scummy english taxes that they get these freebies

Another racist rant from R1Geezer. The Scots have contributed more than anyone else to the UK exchequer. The English managed to squander all this money and as usual want to blame someone else. RBS has bankrupted itself trying to prop up England, receiving no thanks for it. The Scots have always been willing to help their friends south of the border and will continue with that aid when the recession ends.
