What is the worst Christmas present you have ever been given ?
A boyfriend once bought me a really horrible lamp that was like an oyster and the bulb was the 'pearl' !
It was so bad I just had to dump him. It made me see him in a completely different light if you pardon the pun !!

My late mum once went shopping without her glasses.
My forename begins with J.
She bought me a load of stocking fillers, including a keyring, handkies, bookmark and a notebook - all engraved with the initial F.

I think that was the same year I got a card from her that said "To My Mother " on it.

I'll forward it to you and you can give it to your wife on Christmas morning............
I think it went to a charity shop actually. Arggh, I'm still traumatised thinking about it and it was about 23 years ago !
I once got a TV/Radio Times magazine holder.

It was ghastly!

When my son was younger he wanted the video of Jurassic Park. On Christmas day he opened it up to find............Barney's Great Adventures !! She said she remembered it was something to do with dinosaurs ! And a few years ago she bought my stepdad....one sock !!!!
That is so funny about the dinosaurs!

It reminds me of when the film "Leon" (about a French assassin) first came out. I sent Mr O to buy it as a pressie for my nephew Leon.
He came back with "Leon the Pig Farmer."

My mate's daughter was a big fan of Blue and she once asked her granny for a Blue video for her birthday ! The old woman's face was a picture. She didn't know it was the name of a group !

I've mentioned this on another thread ,I think, but it's worth repeating.
When i was a teenager my gran bought me a lovely jumper with FOUR sleeves. The idea was you could wear the jumper as normal and have the other 2 sleeves casually knotted around your shoulders!
To add insult to injury, it was green - my least favourite colour - with black stripes. My sister got an identical one too.
VD (Really). Xmas 1992, drunken tryst in a hotel after the office Xmas **** up with Denise White.
Denise White strikes again. Bl00dy dirty cow.
Poor flipflop.
Did you think to yourself....."I'm a gonner here?"

puddicat, no the lamp didn't pulstae different colours. I remember the 'shell' being a sort of aqua coloured glass.
ANy clothes that my granny has bought me since I was a child. I was always way to polite to say euwwwww and spent the days wearing the ridiculous jumpers and slacks. Never went particularly well with the goth makeup.
A horrid jumper with a giant cats head embroidered on the front....from my mother-in-law........oh-and the year her son & I were first together she gave me a cheap and nasty itchy red lace knicker and cami set...arrgghhh!!
My ma-in-law bought me green slippers (i hate green)
and they were the wrong size ..so gave them back
so she could return them ,so ended up with nothing !!!
