Depends if you would normally talk about xmas then why stop. Its hardly selfish xmas isn�t going to stop just because they are having a bad one, just don�t overdo it. I would maybe try and make theres good and help them.

yeah thats what i mean - i dont go on about christmas but im finally going to have one i think will be enjoyable for once but my really close friend is going to have a bad one and i dont talk about it to her but it get brought up in conversation like presents etc i said ill be with her but..oh i duno!

you can't avoid the subject lubeckie, and if she is such a good friend, she shouldn't want you to. Just don't overdo it and be there for her also.

it's not your fault her xmas is going to be sh1te - your life has to carry on - so long as you're sensitive towards her, she shouldn't begrudge your happy xmas.
