According to Trevor Phillips of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, no "Barack Obama" could ever succeed in UK because of institutional racism. This I find very very droll, but also a little irritating, because as a result there could now be a huge "backlash" of political correctness resulting in the election of numbers of Black and Minority Ethnics disproportionate to their part of the population - i.e. election to positions of power purely because of their race.

Trevor Phillips is a racist, a black racist, and such a shame, because he was doing so well in highlighting the divisions in society resultant upon racial groups refusing to integrate.

sp, why don`t you ask the black players that question?,

Maybe they don`t wish to take a career in management after playing and don`t apply for the job

As for gays in football...Justin Fashanu was the first footballer to come out the closet..it ruined his career and his life...he hung himself eventually...and he was black so no managers job for him either
The question there SQD is how many black players apply to be managers?
Yes it was from the original 1972 film (very good) but it was a mainstream film and was considered worthy of a remake (unlike "Pelham123" which was a much better film) the sentiment espoused still prevails (even "Desmond's" focussed on it) and that is British.
The qustion is'nt about gays but FYI I don't think someone's sexuality is anybody's business why should a player feel the need to come out?
If I remember correctly Fashanu was due to stand trial for underage sex in America I think the boy was 16 and the age of consent over there 18 or 21, although I could be wrong I've slept since then.
P.S.
Fashanu stunk at Forrest, Clough could'nt get a kick out of him but apparently he did have a gift for getting parking tickets much to Clough's chagrin.
