Went to get son last night from college at about 9.30.
Coming home just on the edge of a 30 mph zone and theres a Kojak with Kodak sitting just on the edge on the road where he can't be seen. I check the speedo and notice I doing about 34-35(yes I know its naughty). Thought opps and the beggers pulled me over.
They breathalized me. I was in a good mood and so was the boy cos he just met that bloke who does the landlord on TV. Big bloke, loud mouth. so hes feeling jollier than ususal for a 16 yearold, and hes starts on asking where are the cameras cos he wants to be on tv. I thought the copper was gonna knick us both but being the angel I am I knew I would get away with the breathalizer.
Luckly had a good humoured young man so he sent me on my way with a warning not to use my lead foot to much in future.
HAd me panicking for a moment though.
Any one else been pulled over like that?
How did u handle it or am I the only speed freak here? :-)
Thanks for ur time.

i have been lucky twice when stopped only because the maid was in the car both times she is better at disarming the officer with a smile, this in no way reflects on the actions of the police up and down the country and if i have offended anyone with the post i can only apologise profusely
yes got very lucky last time I got pulled, I was followed by an unmarked car along a dual carriageway at speeds of... errr well it had 3 figures shall we say, I was very polite to him and apologised, told him I'm not going to even try to make excuses as there is no excuse and apologised a bit more and he wrote me out a ticket for 80+ and reminded me how lucky I was

OK 3 points and a fine... but if the ticket had been for the actual speed I was doing it would have been a whole different matter.
