Just when I was thinking, "here is a MP with who is prepared to step down on a matter of principal".

But no, a hasty phone call from the boss in far away Washington, USA, and he has persuaded her to stay.

How did he do this? A promise of a "Front Bench" seat? or perhaps a title even who knows?

Takes alot to get your snout out of the trough though. Probably toted up the expenses and decided she couldn't afford it.

If I was Brown I would appease the woman then come home and fire her personally. But then he's McBottle so I dont suppose that'll happen !
A matter of PRINCIPLE. A Principal is the head of a college etc. Not being rude, just informative.
