i have a s reg ford escort and i want to fit a standard ford cd player as they are a direct fit and there should be 2 plugs on the car which plug into it which i have but both plugs look as though they contain speaker wires only although theres no wires missing from any plug does anyone know what colour wires are on each plug etc???

speaker wires are white,white + black stripe, green, green + black stripe, purple, purple +black stripe and grey, grey and black stripe. You should then have black (negative), red (ignition live and yellow (12volt constant memory)
