Is anyone else out there like me and hoard stuff that you know is collectable?

I have a Raleigh Chopper, a Big Trak and lots of old electronic hand held games that take me back to the good old days.

Would you be able to see it all go or sold on to make others happy?

The only thing I've got that is collectable (apart from my campagne medals) is a "rolls razor" like this one.

I inherited it from my grandad and is only valuable to me
I've hoarded every LP I ever bought as listening to each one transports me back to a particular time.
Having seen how much some of them will sell for on Ebay, I'm now transferring them all to disc as fast as my chubby little hands will work. I then intend to flog the lot and retire to an island in the South Seas.
My mum was a hoarder and when she died I realised one persons treasure is another persons junk. I've vowed my kids will never have to spend weeks disposing of piles of tat the way I had to.
lol Mrs O, i've still got all my LP's and 12inches, I refuse to part with them. Every now and then Mr Boo makes noises about chucking them, pointing out that we've nowt to play them on anyway!!!

I've successfully managed to ignore him on this subject (and on every other subject come to think of it) and managed to keep hold of 'em.
when I weas in America about 15 years ago, I bought a rare 12" version of Prince 1999/lets Go Crazy, it cost a fortune and had, "not for sale outside U.S Borders" on the label.
I had it for a year, tucked away somewhere safe when my then wife threw it out!!!! She said she binned it because I never played it therfore it must be worthless!!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh bl00dy woman!!!!!!
Boo, me & Mr Overall have rows about HIS record collection. I have loads of valuable original LP's which are highly collectable, such as The Who, The Rolling Stones etc. His sad ensemble includes The Mike Samms Singers, Benny Hill, and an instrumental version of Hair. I keep telling him to sling them out but he won't. I tried getting rid of some but the vicar's wife declined them for the church jumble sale!!!!
oh ouch john- i have a rare white 12inch of Kraftwerk's, The Model.

Least I think it's rare, it bloody better be as the song itself is crap, I'm only keeping it for monetary value.
hehe Mrs O- Mr Boo's collection is a horror too, he used to be a rocker so has albums relating to this odd hairy folked phenomenon, however lurking in this collection i've noticed several Kim Wilde and Debbie Gibson monstrosities.
I replaced all of my vinyl on CD and have since then coverted most of it to mp3.
Ooooh that's quite respectable, BOO..Mr P has:

*Gasp*

Hazell Dean & Bucks Fizz.

As for the Q, yes Cockney_si we have quite a few collectables around the house. I collect dolls and Mr P collects Action Men..we have a whole room full of them. I have often thought about letting it all go but something always stops me.

I would love a Raleigh Chopper!
I've heard about you and Choppers......

I recently got rid of a collection of "rock memorabilia" that had been sitting up the loft for ages. No point in having it sitting there doing nothing when I could have 500 instead lol.
I actually put the 'Raleigh' in front of 'Chopper' this time, Rev ;o)
Whateva!
I wasn't making THAT mistake again!
Pippa, please have the raleigh chopper....and all the other bikes he has stashed in 2 sheds! lol
I still have my ZX Spectrum and Horace Goes Skiing cassette amongst other things. I would be happy for it all to go, if it made someone in my family happy (or rich).
Octavius - I bought this hand held game that plugs into yr tv and has something like 160 old arcade games on it, track & field, pacman, horace, double dragon, paperboy, scramble, defender, galaxian etc etc lol. 25 quid lol
A Raleigh Chopper bike in good condition is worth money !
Any one who has a UK edition of the White Album by The
Beatles is sitting on a fortune , only a few pressed . I must admit I have a Donovan album !!
Haven't choppers been reissued? So to speak lol
that's not embarrassing theonlyone- it's when you admit to having a Jason Donovan album that it's time to emigrate.
