Youths (or yoofs) threw rubbish through the open passenger window of a car in Crystal Palace, Sarf London laak innit. When the driver got out to complain/remonstrate/whatever, he was killed. Fair enough, he shouldn't have been stupid enough to argue with youths.

This is Britain 2007, and it is going to get worse, until they are fenced in behind barbed wire and periodically machine-gunned.

Iagree with the barbed wire but what a waste of bullets, just let a pack of rabid dogs finish em off instead.

Dave.
Personally, I think all of the youth who leave education should be given a max of two years to find a job. If not, then compulsory conscription should kick-in and give them a good kick up the a$$.....
Low life scum like those yobs, should be birched, then sent to prison for 10 years, you watch the crime rate for that kind of crime drop right down, but until the do good bragade get their heads from up their ar$es an start to live in the real world it will only get worse.

Great idea, this would make them grow up and stop being anti social. Best post i have seen on this site.
Errm, wouldn't conscription just train them to kill more efficiently?

If you think the army is the solution to yobbism, you should try living in Aldershot or its environs, where nearly all vandalism and violence is down to squaddies on the p*ss.
I will second Rojash's statement re Aldershot, they're bl00dy animals some of them!

Also, don't think all yoof's can be tarnished with the same brush. As with anything, it's usually a minority giving the majority a bad name!
what's the question?
just curious, so ,,,, what is your question?
Remember:

Crime only happens in Britain, and even then only in today's Britain.

We should bring back capital punishment. Apparently they have it in the US and they have hardly any crime there.
I'm with rojash too. I grew up in a squaddy town, and most of the problems were caused at weekends when army lads were on the lash.

Secondly, I get sick to death of hearing about "the youth of today" because the youth of today were raised by the youth of the last generation, so why not try figuring where your parenting skills went wrong as opposed to tarring all youths with the same brush, like they have all been born evil or something?
Natalie - I take your point about looking at parenting skills. That is often a very good place to start in some cases...

But I also think there are just some nasty little scroats out there. I grew up not far from said area in Sarf Landan with a rather typical dysfunctional family and as yet I've not tried to maim, rob, kill or in any other way harm anyone.

Just because you might not have had the best up-bringing is no reason to start acting like a little thug and I don't agree with harking back to not having enough hugs when you were a kid.

People should accept some form of responsibility for what they do.
I agree with you lady muck, I too came from a "dysfunctional family" and tgrew up on a housing estate, I now own my own home and everything I have, I have worked for.

I agree that individuals ought to take responsibility for their actions, but I think it is all to easy to point the finger at youths in general when often the problems they cause are as a result of not knowing any different / better. If they were taight right from wrong in the first place, we wouldn't have as many gobby scrots as we have today.

It isn't a question, granted, just the basis for discussion or rant.

I get so internally angry and frustrated at things like this. So little scroats can just lob waste paper into your car and you have to grin and bear it - *or face death*

As with the Warrington murder, I think that in cases like this the thugs should go down for the rest of their natural lives.
In northern ireland up until ten years ago-we had no problem with this sort of problem. You see when young people were getting out of hand certain people from certain organistions simply took the likes of these young wasters and put a bullett in each of their knees thus they couldn't walk for up to six months and if they were really bad, a shotgun to the leg sorted that out(not leaving much of the leg at all). Of course now with the ceasefires, antisocial behaviour is growing rapidly. Everyone in N Ireland is happy for peace but everyone says when the trouble was on old women and men were not being robbed and beaten. They wouldn't have dared. We had a sort of Civillian Police force here which sometimes we miss.

natalie - I firmly believe that the human creature knows right from wrong from an early age, when pain is the mediator.

Are you telling us that because these scum have not been taught that sticking a knife into another human being or kicking him round the head is wrong, that they can be understood when they do it ?
I'm not saying that, I'm saying if their parents took more of an interest and actually behaved like parents then I am sure there wouldn't be as many troublemakers as there are today.

I keep forgetting that crime didn't exist pre-1990's
Well remind yourself that crime DID exhist pre 1990s. But since 1999 to now the crime level and disreguard of human life has increased, we all read the papers and watch the telly you know. Try it for a while and see what you think. I'm sick of hearing about it and if there is a problem with space in prisons then the ones already there will just have to squash-up a bit. Two, three to a bunk, whatever!
fair enough...!??!

really??
