Hi naomi - back with you now.
I think one thing is clear and that it no two people will have the same outlook or view on the same subject.
One thing that has done the Christian faith a disservice are Christians themselves who adopt a pompous condescending and very arrogant view that anyone who does not convert or believe the Word, is damned.
Sure, it's a viewpoint, but my Christian faith centers around a loving God - a universal humanist kind of a God. A God of love and harmony. This kind of God is the one that we all should try and find in ourselves.
Christianity helps me to do that - but it's a faith for me, not a religion.
And even if Christ did not die, or even if he did not exist, what he stands for is still a pretty good dogma in my book and the concept of forgiveness, is properly applied, is a powerful notion indeed.
The leap of faith is a very personal leap, step or jump - and should be respected, just as Christians should be open minded enough to hear other voices and to allow informed debate.
I'm not your average Christian naomi!!
