To a question from Cameron, Tony Blair on PMQs (the worst responses from a PM in history IMHO) stated that it was a pre arranged soundbite. Are not all of his answers pre-arranged soundbites considering that he has a full list of questions to be asked at PMQ's even before he sets foot in the house.

He is like a robot saying only the words put into his mouth by scriptwriters.

Remember Crime and the causes of crime or education, education, education.

When he is confronted by a real person, as he was by that lady a year or so back outside a hospital where her husband was being treated for cancer, he had no idea what to say and was dumb struck.

He is all talk and very little action.

All talk and no action? erm.... did he not just announce he will be introducing a new law or change of existing rules to allow non nationals to be deported if they break the law? Being deaf I have to rely on the poor sub titles offered and so miss much of any debate but it seems to me it it is Cameron who is most awkward and as yet showing a inability to think on his feet (Observed by where he has to keep pausing and searching for his place in his script)

errr...deported to where Philby??. The problem with current legislation is that you cannot send a person home if you dont know where he came from or if his home country refuses to accept him or is in a state of turmoil. So a new legislation will change all that will it?. But then those who swallowed the weapons of mass destruction logic will swallow everything this man has to say.
So you take the Tory view then Dom and suggest no alternative policy! BTW. I am not a hard nosed Labour supporter per se but I have prospered rather well over under them due to the very stable economic platform, (Which by the way my business never received under the previous Goverment). I am now mortgage free, my son has received both a good education and medical attention (NHS not private) and whilst I agree there is still much needed to be done but I find it rather frightening how anyone can think about replacing this lot for a party that gives nothing but excuses for not offering alternative policy on basically anything........ Cameron was on the TV the other night and more or less said if elected he wouldn't change much of what Labour has done! so why on earth should I just take them on trust that I would continue to prosper under them. I will of course continue to moniter Cameron and his propsed changes for the party but if he can not offer any substance then I would never consider voting for them,..... I enjoy a gamble on the horses but I would never willingly prefer to live under another Goverment who is prepared to gamble with the economy like the last lot. (Sorry for the rushed reply but I'm following todays racing :-)

Isn't it a bit ridiculous to try and point score on 'PM uses soundbites during PMQ, and receives questions in advance'?

Will Cameron be working off the cuff if he gets in? Will he refuse the questions in advance? What about Ming?

The answer's clearly 'no', isn't it? It's unique to Blair simply because there's only one PM at a time, not because there's anything remotely noteworthy about the way he carries out that process pre se.
