increase petrol tax
Question Author
Is that a serious answer?
Build more Council houses
How can you build more council houses when the council are flogging their land to private developers to subsidise their over spending (as well as increasing the Council Tax.....).

My manifesto (off the top of my head):

1) Cut benefits to under 40s who aren't physically disabled or mentally ill
2) Give front line public services a nice pay rise. Except the firemen..
3) Cap council tax increases to 3% pa for the next decade (or until the government decide it was a bad idea letting these idiots have control of money in the first place).
4) Get rid of Road Tax and put on Petrol Tax
5) Hold a referendum on Europe then skew the results so we don't join
6) Get rid of inheritance tax and replace with a daytime TV tax.

  1. No benefits for people who choose not to work.

  2. Means testing before being allowed to have children.

  3. Re-introduce National Service.

  4. Give teachers the power to deal with children without fear of being sued (i.e, like the 'old days').

  5. Abolish the human rights act.

  6. Referendum on Europe.

  7. Curb the scary amount of public spending currently going on in order to cut our heavy tax buden (tax and spend tax and spend has never worked, and never will).

I could prattle on all day, but these are the first that spring to mind....................

Increase petrol tax (seriously), treble road tax on SUVs, new tax of 300 pa on caravans, 1-2p on income tax to fund the NHS properly, serious mechanisms to get rid of political correctness.

1. Leave the EU and revert to original trading agreements.
2. Reverse devolution
3. Trim the Public sector of all the trendy "nothing" jobs, ie the ones mostly advertised in the guardian (at least 600000 new ones since 1997).
4. Send back all illegal immigrants as per the current EU ruling, which would mean adopting that law as we are no longer in the EU
5. Half the health service budget by firing most of the current beauracracy and make them spend it on revolutionary things like doctors and Nurses.
6. Double MP salaries and ban all outside interests in the hope we can get them to do what they are supposed to be doing
7. Get the armed forces back up to strength, especially the Navy so they can police the fishing waters once more.
8. ban concurrent sentencing and all remission, time on for bad rather than time off for good. Force judges to use their powers properly.
9. Re introduce community charge so that everyone pays a fair amount rather than an arbitrary sum based on there ability to pay.

and more...

10. Benefits must be earned for the able bodied
11. Abolish the HR act and introduce the Common sense act
12. Ban ambulance chasing lawyers
13. Give teachers the weapons they need to control children in schools
14. Expelled pupils to be assigned a place in special, what you might call "approved" schools with strict regemes to rehabilitate where possible.
15 Re introduce mental hospitals and detain the menatlly ill as long as necessary. This includes paedophiles.
16. Tax plastic carrier bags, chewing gum and increase tax on cigarettes dramitacally.
17. Increase tax on petrol dramitically and use the money to build and subsidise a modern efficient transport system.
18. Re nationalise all the utilities and the rail system but hire some proper management.
19. Reinstate the railway system to what it was before Beeching.

1. Remove state funded religious schools, and teach comparative religion in all schools.

2. Scrap the licence fee.

3. Recall all troops from non-Nato sanctioned actions.

4. Get rid of public funding for the Monarchy and remove historic constitutional powers.

5. Replace House of Lords with a second elected tier. English parliamentary matters to be voted on by English MP's only (ie Devolution for England).

That should keep me busy for the first term, I have to leave time for my many affairs and beanos abroad!

Increase tax on cigarettes to 25 for a packet of 20. With this increased revenue, reduce price of beers and lagers to 10p per pint. Job done !
Ward-Minter this is a grown up topic, go back to playing on your PS2 there's a good boy

"if"? There is no if. I have stood as a candidate in local elections 12 times, and as a candidate for parliamentary elections twice.

National policies:
1. Withdraw from EU.
2. Introduce PR by STV
3. Repeal oppressive laws on anti-terrorism and police abuses.
4. Protect and defend the Monarchy.
5. Lots of other things (look at my website for details).

Local policies:
1. No increase in Council Tax for the next 4 years
2. Represent wishes of people, not party whips and leaders.
3. More restrictions on licenced premises, jail burglars and muggers instead of giving them ASBOs and fines; disperse gangs of young people who are intimidating others.
4. Loads of other things (look at my website for details)

Oh, I forgot: I'm not allowed to show you my website because it would reveal too much information about my identity.

What's the point of a manifesto....

Any of these ring a bell.....

......no tax rises

......no university fees

......referendum on electoral reform

etc etc etc

I guess my manifesto would be " I will do what you want" - lets face it - if I'm going to be a politician I'm not going to stick to it am I?
Compulsory grammar tests before being allowed to join a forum such as this.
I would promise all of policies that everyone else above has promised and once voted have a complete u-turn, blame it on the previous government and do everything George Bush tells me to. I'd be guaranteed at least 10 years in office.
The vote of future adults................by future adults I assume you mean children? Absurd idea.

Ward-Minter for Prime Minister (or dictator even !!)
