Tory peer Lord Frost predicts that the Tory Party faces a very heavy loss in the election. With polls showing Labour well ahead. The Cons should be worried (they are). Frost told LBC "You only have to look at the polls to see we are hurtling to defeat,Every poll we look at says the same thing we're going to lose and we're going to lose heavily.

This prediction comes as the latest polls continue to emphasise a remarkable downturn in fortunes for the Cons who had a 21point lead over Labour in 2020 .Now that lead has been flipped with Labour now in the commanding position in Election year

What made the Public lose faith in the Tory party after sweeping to Victory with a massive majority under the leadership of Boris in 2019 ...was it partygate, the scandals ,The Con crony club i/e Baroness Mone. Liz Truss Crashing the economy  and increasing mortgage repayments high cost of living charges .Swapping PMs and chancellors.Or just the lies that were coming daily from Tory MPs.

Maybe, but the Irish polls showed the proposed constitutional changes in the referendum were going to walk the yes votes. We know what happened there. That's polls for you.

 

When you analyse the existing opposition party's aims can anyone really feel confident that they'd do as well as some predict ?

"Partygate" will have little effect, voters with more than single figure IQs will know it isn't relevant.

 

It's not getting the issues sorted that creates discontent, and neither present main parties seem to have the slightest intent to sort them.

Well we can predict one thing for sure, this country won't ever make any headway with the con cowboys being in charge any longer. They've had 14 years now to make a difference, they have made a difference, but not for the good of the British people. They have however made a big differencen in their own bank balances.

You weren't double crossed. All that happened was some events were deemed to be parties and therefore barred.

 

No one extra died because of it.  No one had restrictions applied that weren't already in place. The main thing about it was the amount of misery and persuasion caused to sections of the general public by those highlighting the issue in order to go after the PM at the time.

 

Shame on those putting political point scoring over the feelings of the public.

That never happened ,and if they did Boris couldn't remember them.  15 May 2020 Cheese and wine party Downing St.   20th May Drinks in the garden.   18th June farewell gathering.   19th June PMs Birthday.   13th Nov Farewell Cummings    27th Nov Aides leaving party.   10th Dec Thank you drinks.    14 Dec Party at Con HQ,  15 Dec Christmas quiz.  18 Dec Stratton caught on camera.  16 April,2021 eve of Prince Phillip funeral party. etc etc .OG Perhaps you also think these parties just did not happen .

Nigerian scammers must be looking at our Conservative government with envy and awe.

 

Very few Nigerians manage to scam more than a million pounds out of anyone, but you only need to donate a few million pounds to the Tory party in exchange for some contract worth possibly a billion pounds (or more) – and the whole thing is done in the open, with everyone knowing it is going on (you don’t even need to read about it in Private Eye).

And its funny that most of these contracts have a connection with the NHS in one wsy or another. Well the NHS is the place where the invoices hit the office intray and the fellow in the pin stripe just signs them off without a second glance, thats because he knows who there off, from that over priced crook down the road. But keeping letting them go through and you can keep your job. The NHS, the bottomless purse for the chosen few.
