I've got a plan.

Carefully unpack an Easter egg, place a gift inside (you decide), then carefully repack the egg in the carton, as an extra surprise, just an idea, what do you think ?.

Morning chip lovely morning again. I would like a surprise like that great idea. Think I will try this for the little ones.  Don't think much on today a bit of baking maybe but don't plan going out. Apart from my  walk later in the day.

Morning Giggsie, The trick is finding an egg that you can easily take apart, and put back together again. Dull and overcast hereabouts, a fine day for baking some bread!

i wouldnt be able to do this - it would be too tempting to eat it.  Plus i would never be able to get it looking as good as new again with the foil.  Most EE boxes are sealed now anyway arent they?

Good morning. Not an easy task bednobs. Some eggs are just 2 shells but yes foil maybe not the best. But hey little ones would not notice. 😁

I agree that weakening to temptation would be quite a challenge, myself included.

 

May I suggest buying an extra one, purely for practice and scientific purpesies

I used to do something different similar for my grandkids at Christmas.

Used to buy them a chocolate santa and the carefully unravel the bottom of them and then heat a knife up and melt a little slot at the bottom.

Then put £10 into the slot and reseal the slot with a hot knife and carefully cover the wrapper back on.

They used to love that every year but they are a bit old for that now 😔

Clever idea spartypuss. I would look forward to my chocolate Santa too if there was money in it.. must try that one. If I remember by then 🙂
