So who's still on X (formerly Twitter).. or now finally given up, given in and moved? Bluesky social is the place to be (so they say).. trolls and hate speech easily blocked, no need to hear anything you don't agree with.. wonderful, fantastic.. or is it?

It's still everywhere.. the little blue bird, you post a tweet. Whoever thought it, that X is a better name.. Elon Musk you crazy man!

By the way people, I'm not on social media, just so you know.

Many folk (me included) count Answerbank as Social Media.

So, maybe you've been on it for nearly 2 years LOL.

I still look at it. I'm not a big presence on there, but I do follow a few people.
I can't see much difference between X and Twitter, and I wouldn't be bothered if it went under. Other platforms are available πŸ™‚

I am on X, but only so I can follow up occasional references from elsewhere that look interesting. I do not participate in any other way.

No use asking me roo.Been banned from that stupid site ever since i called out for the assassination of Putin.

I think I signed into twitter years ago, but never used it.

Facebook has gone down the drain.  I liked it when it was simple and used it as all my extened family and old friends are far away.   I've still a few friends on there but all the additional features they have added are of no use to me.

And now AB is failing.   Bring back Friends reunited ;0)

I'm still on Twitter, I thought the alternatives were Mastodon and Threads. Didn't think Bluesky was fully operational yet.

I refuse to update the phone app so I still have the blue bird.

Its still quite easy to block stuff on Twitter. I've found that if you don't go looking for it you see less of it.

I've got a Twitter account but I've never posted on it.  I only look at it when someone on here posts a link.

Facebook has never interested me.  From what I hear it's basically gossip central.  Not for me.

Ich, my Twitter logo updated to X without me even trying.

Facebook used to be great.  It isn't any more but I disagree about the gossip. It was a good site for keeping in touch.  Now not so good.  If you've never used it you can hardly criticise it.

It will if you're on a laptop etc with web access Naomi but for an app - on Apple anyway - if you're not on automatic updates - if there is such a thing - you'd still have the old version.

Ive noticed it is harder to be offensive now. I used to use the occasional naughty word 🫒and be asked if I really wanted to say that. Doesn't seem to bother now.

I once told someone they should "hang their head in shame" and got suspended for encouraging suicide!!!

Now I have a mirror account if that should happen again.

naomi, Facebook is your page/group and it's your decision who you interact with.  If your friends and relatives are gossips, gossip is what you will get

Facebook is mainstream now.  Most major companies and organisations have fb accounts. Gone are the days when people posted pictures of their dinner on it (facebrag) The kids have gone to 'Insta' and facebook groups are a way of keeping in touch.

I'm on an iPhone, ich.

I'm still on Twitter.  I don't know a better way to get a response from a company quickly.

"I'm on an iPhone, ich"

Me too: if you update all your apps on one go it'll of course have updated. Sad to say I go through the process of updating each one separately and ignoring the X update. Because I'm like that πŸ˜€

"I don't know a better way to get a response from a company quickly."

 Very true

I must admit I still use Facebook groups usually local ones or medical ones.  I just don't like all the new additions like 'my story'

I don't think I've ever updated any app, ich.  Maybe my phone is set to do it automatically - if, as you say, that's possible.  I'll have to have a look.

I know for a fact that some companies have whole departments dedicated to their social media accounts. They seem to dedicate more staff to that then the telephones.

Lottie, select Facebook friends and family, it's very informative ,I like it .
