Gulliver keeps on about immigrants arriving in this country, something he seems opposed to. Perhaps he should be reminded that, according to him, he is an immigrant in a foreign country. He has said on a previous post that he owns a house in that country and pays all the required taxes in that country. He has said that immigrants arriving here take our jobs, houses etc, while at the same time doing exactly that himself in another country.
Also, perhaps he should ask himself why so many immigrants try to reach this country in order to escape the dictatorship of the EU.

I am not suggesting Gulliver is an illegal immigrant in his country of residence. I never used the word 'illegal' in my posting as I was refering to all immigrants.
What I am suugesting is that he is a hyprocrite to keep on about immigrants in this country when he himself is an immigrant in another country.

I'm not talking about matters from the 1980s (where he was convicted of acts which, a little over a decade later were no longer illegal). I'm talking about the way he was treated by the police during "Operation Midland" where he was accused, among other things, of stabbing and strangling a 12 year old boy.
The independent enquiry that followed the collapsed of the investigation was scathing. In his report, retired judge Sir Richard Henriques specifically cited the unfair treatment that the suspects had received at the hands of the police. He found that despite the lack of evidence to support Beech's allegations, the accused men were subjected to unwanted media attention after their identities were publicly disclosed, while detectives presumed them guilty without just cause.

Since never. But it has these delusions of grandeur. Its apparatchiks dearly wish it would be seen as a single entity and introduce regulations and laws that give the impression that it is. They send delegations to global forums (as well as their member nations doing so); they have their statistics (those relating to fiscal matters, climate change, etc.) stated as a single entity (along with those of its member nations); and they have the Union's title emblazoned on national passports (above the name of the issuing nation).
All these features have been tacitly accepted by both the politicians and the citizens of the member nations. Why is this? Because "None of this matters. It's a fuss over nothing" is what you will hear from all those waving their blue flags with stars on at the RAH. Well it doesn't to the UK because we are finally rid of the entire rotten business. But it should matter to people in the the remaining member nations and to those in this country harbouring dreams of rejoining. It is part of the project which, if left unabated, will see the federalisation of Europe by stealth. Each little step no big deal, and only a little different to what went before.
