Yes I know Zacs but I thought it worthy of another post to highlight that the show went ahead.
Yes, good on him. People need to stand up to these activists, its clear companies wont so Joe Public must act.

I always wryly smile when people like Linehan, who has done absolutely nothing wrong and whose views chime with 99% of the population, are cancelled for ‘inclusivity’ reasons, because what the woke cancellers are doing is demonstrating they are not inclusive.

It’s quite clear that these people, who will without a single shadow of a doubt will trumpet their belief in free speech, when what they actually mean is they only believe in free speech and inclusivity when it’s the ‘correct’ view.

They are weasels and TTT’s description of them as fascists is correct.
I’m intrigued how the 4 most outspoken people on this board about transgender issues (I could name them, but we all know who they are) have been remarkably silent.

I take that as they know they can’t defend the venues who have cancelled Linehan.
I'm fine with a venue deciding they don't want to host him, and with him finding somewhere else. It's called living in a free country - and a capitalist country, where venues can decide how they'll do their best business.

... but the venues claim to be inclusive so they exclude.
//where venues can decide how they'll do their best business.//

Does this privilege extend to other business premises ... like bakeries for instance?
I remember seeing Mr L interviewed on telly a while back and thought him a big old sobersides for someone who writes as he does.

Anyway, more power to him.
He is one of my heroes, along with Sharon Davies and JK Rowling.
I asked that very question the other day, Togo.

Nobody answered. But like you, I see a parallel.
