Pride Marchers and JSO disrupt Pride March in London. They are sponsored by United Airlines. Do they think elastic bands propel the United Airlines fleet of aircraft. Crass stupidity by these cranks once again not to mention hypocrisy

Unexpectedly, I'm not that fussed. One vocal bunch pushing their agenda, disrupting another. Could be worse.
er, what? United are sponsoring Pride, JSO are protesting at both of them. Where do the elastic bands and the hypocrisy come in?
JSO and Pride, a match made in Helskinki
who you calling kinki

//Following through with the threat, a group of LGBTQ+ supporters of Just Stop Oil blocked the Pride parade by sitting in front of the Coca-Cola float.//

Looks like a united effort here to block the highway. I read it as a group of LGBTQ+ supporters of Just Stop Oil. Perhaps you wish to interpret it differently.?
Sadiq Khan has asserted that Just Stop Oil is a "really important pressure group". It should be clear to Londoners what side this nicompoop is on, and it's not the side of the working man.

In case you hadn't noticed or don't fly .The model balsa aircraft years ago were driven by propellers and elastic bands
United aircraft use Kerosene oil to fly their jets. They also are happy to sponsor Pride who are blocking the road with JSO. I can explain it to you but I can't help you understand. Or perhaps you are deliberately being contrary and obtuse as is your want.!

//Before the parade started, LGBTQ+ members of Just Stop Oil called on organisers to condemn new oil, gas and coal licences.//

But they are not worried that they are sponsored by an airline that burns oil. That is hypocrisy.
Pride are not the people blocking the road... JSO are

united airlines is supporting pride not JSO

hope that helps

JSO are correct. the fossil fuel economy is not sustainable and has made the consequences of the greenhouse effect significantly worse... we have had fifty years of warning and didn't do enough, so radical action has unfortunately become necessary.... failure to do anything will cause large sections of the planet to become newly inhospitable to human life... the lethal temperatures we are seeing in mexico and parts of the USA are a taste of the future for hundreds of millions

next to this problem "inconvenience" or "annoyance" are trifles... they are in fact irrelevant.

You appear incorrect. It was LBGTQ+ members of JSO who blocked the march. We all know that Starmer’s crony sponsors JSO but it seems JSO has a faction of LBGTQ+ supporters who don’t mind United sponsorship.
They might be cranks, but they are different cranks.
They probably share very little ideology.
So the anti oilers are happy to disrupt a march by a group that have an airline as a sponsor.
Of course they know that oil products keep aircraft in the skies - that is exactly why they have been targeted.
Maybe the real reason the LGBTQ+ members were protesting is that many LGB gay Pride members have turned against the TQ+ members.
Look like a bunch of upper middle-class hippies. After this protest them and their mumsies and popsies will be flying off to their Tuscany villas and saying-"what fun we had today, disrupting these working-class scum gays".
In defence of Just Stop Oil, they are not campaigning for the immediate abolition of the use of oil (fossil) fuels, which would take the UK back to the dark-ages – but are against the extraction of new oil and gas resources. How much of an impact this would have on the production of oil & gas, I don’t know.

But they also want a rapid transition to a low energy, low carbon world – so if they were to get the government to halt the extraction of new fossil fuel resources, they would target other fossil fuel use to meet their aims.

The world is currently burning through around 100 million barrels of oil a day, and it is projected to remain at around this level through to the middle of this century, only then reducing as alternate energy sources come into wide-spread use.

Whether a continuance of burning such an amount of fossil fuels will cause a global warming catastrophe is open to debate – but at least you are a little more informed on Just Stop Oil and their objectives.

you need to learn the difference between pride as an event and individual LGBTQ people who are in JSO… i daresay it is not a difficult distinction

the latter were protesting the former for accepting the sponsorship
[i]it seems JSO has a faction of LBGTQ+ supporters who don’t mind United sponsorship. [i]

you're still getting this backassward. JSO has some LBGTQ+ supporters who DO mind United sponsorship, and have therefore joined the JSO protest.
TQ members ? Surely they'd rather be known as QTs ?
‘Ironic’ (my word of the day) that anti oilers are disrupting the not heterosexuals, because they have a sponsor that uses fossil fuels.

If only the Hamish were pulling the gay floats, and not a Coca-Cols diesel truck.

Every thing could have been resolved amicably.
