Even the most ardent remoaner would not want to rejoin under the conditions that they'd force on us as "punishment".
There would have to be a referendum about rejoining, they could not just sign us back in like a previous Conservative Prime Minister did.
When was that gromit? We joined in 1973 and had a vote 2 years later to stay in. I don't know of anyone who has just "signed us BACK in".
Edward Heath signed us into Europe without a referendum.
The Labour government gave the people a say in a vote in 1975.
yes but no one signed us "back in" did they?
I see what you mean now gromit. Apologies.
I do not believe that 57% of the UK population are that daft.
I voted remain.

I still believe we'd be better in rather than out, but unlike some on here, I respect democracy and accepted the result.

I think what we do in future, every time Hymie posts a very biased You Tube link, we should just post a link to the DM article from fender and just leave it at that.
Where's Gulliver to give us his expertise.
^^^trying not to go outside of the lines with his crayons in his big bumber colouring-in book.
Given the absolute disaster Brexit is to the UK, there is now a growing ground-swell of those realising that we’d be better off re-joining.

This might happen sooner that many think, once Labour realise that their electoral success would be guaranteed by taking such a stance – and that the swivel-eyed loons are on the side of the Tories.

But there are many obstacles to be overcome if a plebiscite is to result in a re-join mandate, especially if the terms are not those we left on.

Candidate countries (wishing to join the EU) are required to commit to adopting the Euro, (although Poland signed up to this nearly 20 years ago and are showing no signs of adopting the Euro), and becoming part of the Shengen area which will greatly upset the xenophobes.
Why do you think it's been a "disaster" hymie?
Ball locks 57%
Media bull.
hymie: "once Labour realise that their electoral success would be guaranteed by taking such a stance" - so you think that rejoin would be popular among the electotate? How do you arrive at that belief? 52% of the UK voted to leave the EUSSR.
I wouldn’t vote for any party that wanted to rejoin the EU.
//...and that the swivel-eyed loons are on the side of the Tories.//

You really can't help it can you?

Reasoned debate 0, Hymie 1
"52% of the UK voted to leave the EUSSR."

I think you'll find that 37.44% of the electorate voted to leave the EU.
Including a disgraceful 29% of SNP voters.
yes ynna, SNP got it over the line for us.
Aye,3T.The SNP,all the Tartan Tories on here claiming that they have some kind of moral majority. It was the SNP Brexiteers who took us out of Europe.Bastrads.The figures are-SNP voters who voted for Brexit-29%,Scottish Tory voters who voted for Brexit-27%,Scottish Labour voters who voted for Brexit-19%.Aye,the SNP voters have a lot to answer for.
