Scroll down to the abandoned house. I wonder if it has been thoroughly searched… I know, I have been streaming Happy Valley.

If she did fall into the river, I wonder how easy it would be to find her? I wonder if the lady in the red coat with the white dog was able to help, heard no more about that. Where IS she??
It looks like the police have cordoned off the car park now where she started her walk and are removing bags of 'evidence'.
I know we are not meant to speculate but this cannot end well.
I know Prudie, the longer she's missing, the more concerned I get. It's only natural.
I'm sure I read the river is only 18 ins deep. At least in the area where she supposedly was.
Police now say they think she fell in the river.

Why would they be asking for people to look out for her clothes & watch?

Seems very odd.
If she did fall into the river, where's her body, why didn't the dog go in after her - spaniels usually love water and I've also read she's a strong swimmer. Still odd.
Statistics show about 180,000 people go missing in the UK every year. The number is believed to be a significant underestimate as 353,000 files of missing persons are opened every year.

So why is this one taking up so much police resources.

Answer: Because the Mucky Mail is exploiting it to increase readership, therefore the police can't afford anything less.
You seriously think the DM has an influence on Police investigations?
That's rubbish canary. The case has been puzzling and of interest to me....and I never touch the Mail. Its been all over radio and TV news.
they got involved with the Stephen Lawrence case
The Mail should be applauded the way they were relentless in the Lawrence case.

That's crass, Canary, even for you.
OK, maybe I worded my post badly.

I seriously doubt that the DM have any influence on the resources being given to this case.
Zac I agree, it still all seems odd, and I agree that if she had somehow slipped into the water then the dog would have jumped in after her. So they are saying that she put her phone on the bench, then went towards the water and fell in??
As I understand it, the police are satisfied that there is no evidence that Ms Bulley left the side of the river, leading sadly to the conclusion that she in fact fell in, and her body is yet to be found.

I don;t subscribe to the notion that her dog would automatically have jumped in the river after her - she may have fainted, and an anuerism, a heart attack, a number of reasons why she may have silently fallen in, and if her dog was a distance away, he may not have noticed.
At its deepest - close to where Nicola vanished - the river reaches a depth of 15ft. and is classed as an extremely dangerous area.
I did say earlier that she probably removed the harness herself. Possibly when taking it off she slipped and fell into the river. She could have been trying to climb back and fell on the slippy slab stones lining the bank . She was a good swimmer so she possibly knocked herself out and was swept downstream.
I can’t rationalise this. Why would she leave her phone connected to a call and go to the edge of the river bank? I could understand it if her dog was in difficulties in the water and she rushed to help him but he was dry when he was found so that’s not a reason. It makes no sense.
Perhaps she had a piece of paper with important information on, or telephone numbers, and a gust of wind blew it towards, or in the river. She might have tried to retrieve it and tumbled/ slipped into river.
