Err, the Supreme Court has confirmed you need the permission of the UK Government to hold a valid referendum, and as they aren't going to grant that permission anytime soon, all St Urgeon is doing is wasting yet more money.

She's a complete narcissist, a despicable, horrible, woman who is on a vanity project and couldn't give a tinker's cuss about the Scottish people and the undoubted disastrous consequences of Scotland's independence. She's like a troublesome teen.
at least I understood that

people who support independence having a confab about independence, why not ? - cold outside etc
Give them one and let them have it. We can gloat from the borders when it all goes bent.
Still with the colonial mindset eh Paul?
Regarding their wish break links with the British Government & throw their lot in with the EU: Nationalists complain of being ignored in London, but Scotland is currently represented in the Commons by 59 MPs out of 650. In the last European Parliament elections in 2019, Scotland returned six MEPs out of 751.

If one of the aims of nationalism is to bring government closer to the people, it is odd to favour the transfer of power away from Westminster to Brussels, so as to share power with 27 other member states for whom Scotland's concerns would be extremely low in their priorities would you not say?
Oh, politics.....never mind
//Still with the colonial mindset eh Paul?//

That's not the colonial mindset. It's reality.
I’m very entertained by these threads from ttt and his wee band of followers re all things Scottish :-). Thank you .

That's not the colonial mindset. That's not reality. It is normal AB on a monday
er the same that follow you Naomi?
Who follows me, PP?
My mindset is far from colonial. I am just sick of listening the Ms Sturgeon going on and on and on about another referendum. My personal opinion is that Scotland would seriously struggle if it was fully politically independent. The Ms says she will keep the pound? I don't think so. What happens to His Majesty's armed forces and all the property they occupy. How will she deal with the border issue. How on earth does she propose to transform from all things British to all things Scottish. A good friend of mine who is in the know told me that prior to the last referendum, you know the one which was a once in a generation one, he was one of many who re conned a suitable place for the nuclear submarines. Milford Haven won the contest. Interesting. So the British government have not been sitting on their hands and I guess are not doing so now.
Paul. DONT listen . Lol
