Brittney-Griner was arrested months ago and America has been trying to get her released ever since. It is not a like for like swap and although a lot of Amercans are pleased that Britney has been released they are not happy to see the notorious arms dealer going back to Russia

Gender is largely meaningless today, bednobs. I'm not suggesting Brittney is transgender (since that is an equally meaningless term). I'm simply not entirely convinced that she is biologically female. But it's only a suspicion and it doesn't matter to me. But it would matter if you were a participant in women's basketball.

I am perfectly aware if the reaction of some of the citizens of Ms Riner's home country.

It just seems coincidental, that as I point out the seemingly inevitable list of reasons why Ms Riner is not deserving of the Russian government's largesse, that you should be first out of the traps with exactly that position.

If you don't agree with the American viewpoint, either don't point it out, or if you do feel the need to highlight it, then making clear that it is not a view you personally share, will avoid the reasonable reaction that you do in fact agree with what some Americans are saying.

Just to be clear, she was not arrested for having hashish, weed, bud or any other pseudo name for cannabis. She was arrested for having a small amount of CBD oil in her bag, a product you can legally buy in Holland and Barret! I reckon the Russians were just waiting for the highest profile passenger they could find with the smallest excuse to arrest them as they wanted their arms dealer back.
As for their sexual identity, what the 'you know what' has that got to do with the story?

Meaghan - Ms Griner's orientation has as much to do with the story about her arrest and release, as Ms Fulani's charity accounts had to do with her receiving rude questioning at a Palace function.
