Probably not Doug. But it does make me laugh seeing 'constitutional issues' being reeled out like they are some fundamental property of the universe that stop anything from happening.
It's all human made up guff, and now nobody is going to chop anybody's head off for ridiculing or ignoring it I think it's time has passed.
If any or all of them shut their curtains permanently and said they aren't doing it anymore it would be news for a week then we'd all forget about it.

It doesn't matter what the true believers think, when it actually meant something everybody had to toe the line, now they don't and it's a reflection on the irrelevance of the thing.

Simplifying and / or ridiculing any long-standing tradition does it no damage whatsoever.
