Romanian national Vasile Culea beat and tortured an 86-year old British woman to death and tied up, gagged and beat her 88-year old husband ex-mayor Ken. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-63414407
As a result, the British taxpayer now gets to pay for this man's board, food supply, safety, television and protection for the rest of his life. Is this justice?

Damn savage......etc
What has society become?
Poor elderly people, how scared they must have been. Makes me want to cry. This b*stard needs stringing up and NO, it is not justice. And still we let more and more foreigners in !! Sick of it all now.
He will be deported surely?
once he's done at least 34 years gromit.
No it isn't justice. With mad dogs we do the sensible thing. We put them down humanely.
Agreed TT,
But we all know he will not do 34 years. Punish him, then send him back to Romania.
gromit the minimum term is set at 34 years.
Absolute scum - I wondered how long he'd get, 34 is more than I thought but he should be executed.
Unfortunately davebro we abolished capital punishment in this country.

And rightly so!
Not according to the majority of the public. Maybe a referendum is called for?
sure. The longer I'm paying for his board the happier I'll be.
A referendum davebro? That's a dirty word on this site. Oh wait.......that's just when Scotland wants one!
You had one and lost.
maggie - the Scots should have Indyref2 asap & the result should be BINDING. Call the wee one's bluff & if she wins, well good luck to her & her people!
// Not according to the majority of the public. //

Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

//Maybe a referendum is called for? //

It will not happen. All votes appertaining to this matter are firmly secured in the hearts of the currently sitting 650 MPs. This is not to say the electorate does not have a voice, since they're represented by their local MP.
I wonder if it's possible to place a "contract" on some of the scum housed in UK jails?
The one-eyed savage who murdered two police women would be on my list.
//Forgive them, for they know not what they do.//

In this particular case, I think they do.
